I have an Android 2.1-update1 and it doesn't run. IMHO I think it's time for an icon update. I noticed the desktop link to maps now has a new icon, love that too, will the Android app be getting that as well? It really sets it apart from the web app versions on other devices. It's good to see a wider coverage on the 3D maps.

Nice but the 3D buildings in Zurich (Switzerland) are still a mess :/ Wonderfull! Google maps is very good! But in Italy there are maps 5 years before now.
